At Lizmere Cavaliers, our program is guided by decades of experience, careful selection, and a deep understanding of established lines.
We are a small, intentional breeding program focused on producing Cavaliers of sound temperament, balanced structure, beauty, and lasting companionship.
I’ve included an overview of our program and process below so you can become familiar with how we place our puppies.
We breed the four recognized colors and as puppies become available, pictures and details are posted at the following links. Check back anytime for updates!

Our puppies are raised in a structured environment where early weeks are focused on natural development, learning, and socialization – individual growth and steady progress are carefully observed. Then we begin our puppy evaluations at 6-8 weeks of age.
Placement is not based on early selection of a newborn, but rather guided as temperament and personality emerge. This approach allows each puppy to be matched thoughtfully with the appropriate home, and we work with a limited number of families at a time.
Our puppies typically leave for their new family homes at 10–12 weeks of age, depending on individual growth and maturity. Smaller puppies may remain 14–16 weeks to ensure readiness.
A good transition point is when puppies reach approximately 4–5 lbs. Most mature between 15–18 lbs, though some may be smaller or larger depending on genetics and lifestyle.
Puppies are dewormed beginning at 3 weeks of age and receive their first vaccination at approximately 8 weeks.
Breeding dogs are health screened for heart, eyes, patellas, and hips, and are DNA tested for Dry Eye/Curly Coat and Episodic Falling Syndromes.
Health is approached through a combination of appropriate screening, experience, and long-term knowledge of our lines. While modern testing plays a role, no single measure defines the quality of a breeding program. Our focus remains on consistency, longevity, beauty, and overall well-being.
A detailed health record is provided at the time your puppy goes home.
Our pet puppy contract includes a 3-day veterinary check period and a one-year guarantee for life-threatening genetic conditions.
We also provide a Trupanion pet insurance certificate for 30 days of free coverage (no waiting period). Activation must occur within 24 hours of pickup.
For the safety and development of our puppies, visits to our home are scheduled once puppies are at least 8 weeks old.
Until that time, I provide photos and video updates as they mature and develop.
If you’re interested in moving forward, the next step is to complete the application below. This helps us guide you to the perfect puppy!
